The Matakana Saturday market is one of the most popular markets in New Zealand.

Only 45 minutes drive from Auckland, our tour features the famous Matakana Village, which is a beautiful example of New Zealand's historical and artisanal heritage. New Zealanders are world-renown for their creative craftsmanship, and this event is one of the best examples today.

Slip through time with us to the early 1800's of New Zealand.

Itinerary:

08:00 - Leave hotel for Matakana.
08:50- Visit Honey Centre
09:15 - Visit Kauri Park and have a look at our ancient giant tree.
09:45 - Visit the Matakana Market. (Saturdays only). Look around freely for one hour.

11:00 - Lunch at The Pottery Café of Morris & James, a very popular cafe with locals, featuring a special Eggs Benedict menu.

12:30 - Visit Winery and wine tasting
14:00 - Arrive at hotel.

A camera!
Lightweight jacket (in winter) or sun hat (in summer)
Bring some pocket money if you feel like shopping. The artisan vendors offer an amazing range of products, but many cannot accept electronic payment such as credit cards.
